Contact the Build Desk

Reach the Raja Ampat Boat Builder desk directly: WhatsApp +62 811-3823-875 or email sales@komodoluxury.com. No forms, no ticket queues — a build conversation starts as a conversation, with the people who will actually run your project.

WhatsApp: the fastest channel

WhatsApp is how boats get commissioned in Indonesia, and it is our primary channel. Message +62 811-3823-875 and you reach the desk that handles specification and project scoping — not a call centre. Voice notes are welcome; so are photographs of your current boat, your davits, your dock, or the beach you load from, because those images often answer specification questions faster than paragraphs. If you prefer a scheduled call, message first and we will set a time that works across time zones.

Email: for documents and formal scoping

For briefs with attachments — davit documentation, existing drawings, procurement requirements, tender documents from institutional buyers — email sales@komodoluxury.com. Email is also the right channel for NGO and institutional procurement processes that need itemised written responses, as described on the survey and NGO support craft page. Everything discussed on WhatsApp can be formalised by email for your records, and quotations are always issued in writing.

What to include in your first message

You do not need drawings or a naval architect to start — you need to describe how you operate. The most useful first messages cover five things: your operation type (dive resort, liveaboard, homestay, logistics, research or patrol program); guest and crew numbers per trip; your routes — where the boat is based and the legs it will actually run; any hard constraints, such as davit safe working load, dock depth or beach landings; and the budget band you are working in, in USD. With those five facts we can usually respond with a meaningful direction — craft class, size band, material lean and an indicative figure from the cost guide — rather than a generic brochure reply. If you are earlier in your thinking than that, say so; pointing you to the right page of the commissioning guide or the FAQ is also a useful reply, and we would rather help you frame the question than rush you into a quotation.

Response expectations and time zone

The desk works on Indonesian time — WIB and WIT, UTC+7 to UTC+9 — which overlaps European mornings and Australian working days, and runs opposite to the Americas. Practically: WhatsApp messages sent during Indonesian business hours are usually answered the same day; messages sent overnight are answered the next Indonesian morning. Considered scoping replies — where we check yard availability, run weight or range arithmetic, or compare options before answering — can take one to two working days, and we will tell you when that is the case rather than sending a fast, thin answer. What we do not do: automated responses pretending to be humans, pressure follow-ups, or sales sequences. One conversation, honestly paced.

Visiting in person

Owners already operating in the region sometimes prefer to talk face to face, and that works too: desk meetings can be arranged in Sorong or Waisai around project schedules, and owners are welcome at partner yards during builds at the milestone points described in the commissioning guide. Message first on WhatsApp so we can put the right people in the room — specification questions, yard questions and contract questions are handled by different hands, and a well-planned hour beats an improvised afternoon.

What happens after your first message

A typical sequence: we reply with clarifying questions or a first direction; if the project has substance, we develop it into a written specification outline with an indicative USD figure; and only when you are satisfied with the direction does the formal quotation and contracting stage begin. There is no obligation at any point before contract signature, and no fee for first-stage scoping. Serious enquiries from early-stage operators are as welcome as fleet orders — several of our best projects started as a homestay owner’s single voice note describing a beach, a route and a number of guests.

Who you are talking to

Messages to this desk are handled by the Raja Ampat Boat Builder team under Juara Holding Group, with construction contracts issued by PT Komodo Galangan Nusantara as explained on the about page. Pricing is quoted in USD; government fees, where applicable, are stated factually in IDR. If your enquiry belongs with a different desk in the group’s maritime ecosystem — vessel management, brokerage, charter — we will say so and hand you over cleanly rather than stretching our lane to keep the conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How involved do I need to be personally during the build of a Raja Ampat boat in Indonesia?

You define the key decisions and approve milestones, but you don’t need to be on-site constantly if someone trustworthy is coordinating and reporting. Our core function is to be that coordination and supervision layer with the yard—translating your brief, tracking progress, sharing updates, and flagging issues for your decisions as the build moves toward delivery in Raja Ampat.

How do payments usually work when building boats at Indonesian yards?

Boat builds typically use staged payments linked to milestones (e.g., contract signing, hull completion, launching, handover), often backed by a clear build contract and specification. We don’t handle client funds, but we help you structure the payment schedule with the yard, align it with inspection points, and report progress throughout the build.

Can you help me compare different Indonesian yards for building a Raja Ampat tender?

Yes, we work with multiple Indonesian partner yards, each with different strengths in materials, boat types, and scales. We can outline typical capabilities, discuss which are more suited to your project, and then manage the tendering, specification, and build supervision process through the yard you choose.
